This is a song about loss. Loss of innocence, loss of trust. To grieve somebody who is alive and well is a complex feeling. Writing this piece was tedious. Frank and I spent several days debating how to perfect this one, and we realized…we couldn’t. It’s less polished than what I’m used to, but reflects the anger, rawness, and confusion that was in my mind at the time of writing it. Six months later, I present: Bloodhound.
